3rd Annual MAMF Variety Show takes over Charlie Yokes

Maggie Mcginity

The corner of Lincoln Way and Welch Avenue will be home to one of the traditions of the now 3-year-old Maximum Ames Music Festival on Thursday, Sept. 26.

At 10 p.m., Charlie Yoke’s will transform from a regular bar to the stage of a mutli-talent variety show, including drag performers, burlesque dancers, aerial performances, music and more.

This year’s variety show is curated by Phoenix L’amour, a burlesque dancer and educator at the Iowa School of Burlesque.

The variety show will include a huge cast of performers and will feature DJ Trey LaTrash and drag queen Cher Noble.

This late-night, close-to-campus show costs $10 per person.
