White named to Doak Walker watch list

Senior running back James White has been named to the Doak Walker award watch list. This is the second year in a row White has been named to the watch list

The 5-foot-8, 192 pound back from of Dallas, Texas, was a co-captain for the Cyclones last year and was named to the All-Big 12 Honorable Mention team. In 2012, White had 99 carries for 505 yards.

After receiving a redshirt in his first year, White accumulated 1,260 yards over the past three seasons, as well as 10 rushing touchdowns. His rushing total is complimented by 307 receiving yards in his career including one touchdown, which came in overtime against Oklahoma State in 2011.

The Doak Walker award is given annually to the top collegiate running back.
