Men’s basketball program hires Doc Sadler

With much news of transfers coming to the men’s basketball program at Iowa State, coach Fred Hoiberg added a new member to his coaching staff on Friday morning.

The addition of former Director of Basketball Operations at the University of Kansas, Doc Sadler, was made on Friday, 12 hours after the Cyclones grabbed former Marshall guard DeAndre Kane.

With a history of Division I basketball field, Sadler spent a year at the University of Kansas, six seasons as the University of Nebraska-Lincoln head coach and three seasons as the assistant coach at Texas Tech University.

Sadler has assisted coaches at seven different Division I schools, including his former alma mater, the University of Arkansas.
