Cyclones set personal records in day one of Mt. Sac Relays

Day one of the Mt. Sac Relays had many Cyclones setting personal records.

In the first event of the day, senior Ejiro Okoro placed 20 with a time of 4:25.71 in the 1,500-meter run. Sophomore Maggie Gannon (4:28.83) and freshman Crystal Nelson (4:32.06) both set personal records in the 1,500-meter run.

In her first 3,000-meter steeplechase event of the season, freshman Perez Rotich was able to placed 12 with a time of 11:02.92.

Junior Anna Buenneke placed third in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 35:51.20.

On the men’s side, senior Mohammed Hrezi placed second overall in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:45.29. Freshmen Jacob Aune (3:51.44) and Cullen Wannarka (3:56.75) both set personal records in the 1,500-meter run.

In the last event of the first day at the Mt. Sac Relays, senior Charlie Paul placed third in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 30:12.92, one second off of his personal record.
