Adding to its NCAA tournament resume, the ISU men’s basketball team beat Baylor 87-82 for its second Big 12 road win.

The Cyclones (18-8, 8-5 Big 12) took all they could handle from the Big 12’s leading scorer in Pierre Jackson (18 points per game), who poured in 30 points on 13-of-19 shooting for the Bears (16-10, 7-6).

Iowa State continued its nation-leading 3-point shooting per game with 11 on the night, getting four from Korie Lucious and three from Tyrus McGee.

Melvin Ejim led Iowa State in scoring with 20 points on only 8-of-12 shooting, while the Big 12’s leading rebounder also brought down 12 rebounds.

Tyrus McGee also continued in his role off the bench, making eight of his 11 shots from the field with three coming from behind the arc.

Iowa State has five games left in the season and only that long to improve its NCAA tournament resume.
