ISU men finish fifth at Bill Bergan Invitational

After three consecutive days of competition, the Bill Bergan Invitational came to a finish Saturday. The third day of the event had several Cyclones near the top of the leader boards.

Nick Efkamp led the way for the Cyclones winning the 200-meter dash (21.35) followed by teammates Ian Warner, who placed third (21.62) and Ivan Tamba, who placed seventh (22.17).

Warner got the best of Efkamp in the 60-meter dash placing fourth (6.8) while Efkamp took sixth (6.93).

Freshman Jan Jeuschede placed second in the shot put event with a throw of 57-00.00.

Falko Zauber placed sixth in the men’s 1 mile run (4:12.36).

Overall, the ISU men’s track and field team finished fifth as a team with a score of 56.25. The team will return to competition Friday at the New Balance Invitation in New York.
