At the Government of the Student Body meeting, the student representatives will vote on seven bills: “Funding Solar Compactors,” “Funding Team PrISUm,” “Abolishing Connecting with Constituents,” “ASSET Funding Priorities for FY 2014,” “Finance P and C for FY 2014,” “Rules Committee Bylaw Changes” and “Funding for Women’s Lacrosse.”

“Funding Solar Compactors” is a funding bill asking that $21,860 be allocated for the purchase and installation of five solar recycling compactor units. Each compactor costs $2,995 and the total price tag will include installation by Facilities Planning and Management, software for the compactors and wrap.

“Funding Team PrISUm” is asking that $12,515.04 be allocated to Team PrISUm in order for the group to purchase a new motor controller for the solar car team’s upcoming race.

“Abolishing Connecting with Constituents” is asking that GSB’s “Connecting with Constituents” policy be removed by Jan. 1, 2013, for the reason that “outreach is best performed through personally motivated interactions,” which the bill states.

“ASSET Funding Priorities for FY 2014” asks that GSB adopts eight priorities for the fiscal year 2014 which the group has enacted.

“Finance P and C for FY 2014” are recommended changes by the Finance Committee for the Finance Priorities and Criteria for the fiscal year 2014 and that they be used during Regular and Special Allocations processes for funding in the fiscal year 2014.

“Rules Committee Bylaw Changes” are recommended changes by the Rules Committee, which has done a review of GSB’s bylaws and are stating that their recommended changes be instated for clarification of the bylaws.

“Funding for Women’s Lacrosse” is asking that $2,834.93 be allocated to the Women’s Lacrosse Club so that they can purchase safety goggles, goalie protection gear and lacrosse goals.
