Kristen Hahn made Big 12 history on Monday as she was awarded the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth consecutive week.

With the honor, Hahn became the first league player in Big 12 history to ever win four consecutive weekly awards. It is the eighth time Hahn has won this particular award in her career.

Last week in two matches — a loss to Kansas State and a victory against Texas Tech — Hahn contributed 42 digs for a 6.00 digs per set average.

Since Hahn won her first of four awards on Sept. 17, the junior libero has 141 digs for a 6.13 digs per set average. In five conference matches, Hahn is averaging 6.05 digs per set, the best average in league play by more than 1.50 digs per set.

Wednesday night when the Cyclones take on West Virginia, Hahn is likely to surpass the 1,000 dig mark for her career. With 305 digs this season, Hahn now has 995 digs in her career.

Iowa State will take on the Mountaineers at Hilton Coliseum on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
