Just because the volleyball season hasn’t officially started yet doesn’t mean players aren’t trying to get a jump start on the season.

Middle blockers Tenisha Matlock and Jamie Straube will be heading east to Columbus, OH., where they will compete in the USA Volleyball A2 Team Program on June 26-July 4.

Matlock and Straube will both have a chance to match up against some of the best collegiate volleyball players in the national in a 4-team, round robin tournament.

Playing in the tournament will allow both Matlock and Straube to determine where they are in their skill levels at this point in the summer.

Players of the A2 tournament will practice together for five days before making the trip to the Greater Columbus Convention Center for the tournament on June 30-July 4.
