ISU men’s basketball coach Fred Hoiberg received his second commitment for the 2013 recruiting class Wednesday, June 27, as Flint, Mich., point guard Monte Morris chose to become a Cyclone.

Morris, of Beecher High School, is a two-time All-State player in Michigan.

According to Rivals.com, Morris is a four-star recruit and is ranked No. 82 in its list of the top 150 recruits for the class of 2013. Morris received interest from a number of other schools and according to Scout.com had narrowed his decision to Illinois, Butler and Iowa State before deciding to play in Ames.

Morris is the second commitment for the 2013 class as Matt Thomas of Onalaska, Wisc., chose to become a Cyclone earlier this summer.
