Cyclones keep rolling with 3-1 victory against Tigers

After beating Illinois 3-1 two weeks earlier, the Cyclones followed it up with a 2-0 win against former Big 12 rival Missouri on Thursday.

Outside hitter Victoria Hurtt continued her dominant spring season by leading the team in kills with 11. Missouri was the fourth match of the spring for Iowa State and Hurtt has led the team in kills in every one.

Junior Kristen Hahn led the Cyclones in digs with 15 and sophomore Taylor Goetz wasn’t far behind with nine.

On the blocking end, middle blocker Tenisha Matlock returned from a knee injury that sidelined her against Illinois. She recorded three of the team’s six blocks.

The win improves the Cyclones to 3-1 this spring with just one match remaining. Iowa State plays host to Nebraska on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Hilton Coliseum to finish out the season.

The team will then participate in offseason workouts and open gyms over the summer until competition resumes in August.
