A new interim dean has been announced for the College of Business.

The decision was made jointly by Elizabeth Hoffman, executive vice president and provost, and Steven Leath, university president, on Tuesday,  March 6.

Michael Crum, associate dean in supply chain and information systems, will serve as interim dean of the College of Business, starting July 1. Labh Hira, dean of the College of Business since 2001, announced in October he would be stepping down June 30.

Hoffman began the search to find a new dean in late October.

Crum will serve as interim dean for up to two years.

Hoffman announced last month that she would also be stepping down as provost so it will be up to the new provost to determine the next steps in the search for the new dean of the College of Business.
