Dominguez goal gives Cyclones first win in conference play

Regulation wasn’t enough between Iowa State and Texas Tech on Friday night, as the game ended in double-overtime with a goal by  ISU sophomore forward Jennifer Dominguez resulting in a 1-0 final.

The win was the first for the Cyclones (8-8-1, 1-5 Big 12) in Big 12 Conference play this season.

The goal by Dominguez came with 7:18 left in the second overtime in a shot from the center of the goal box. The Lubbock, Texas, native was unassisted on the goal.

Iowa State led Texas Tech in shots 18-16 with 16 of those coming in the regulation for Iowa State. Texas Tech recorded five of its shots in the first overtime, with the Cyclones tallying two shots in the second overtime.

Sophomore goalkeeper Maddie Jobe played in all 102:42 minutes of action Friday, recording seven saves for the Cyclones.
