Cyclone volleyball downs Aggies in four

Iowa State continued its run through the Big 12 with a four-set win against Texas A&M (16-5, 5-3 Big 12) on Saturday (25-21, 25-23, 23-25,25-23). Carly Jenson lead the way with 17 kills while Jamie Straube and Tenisha Matlock chipped in 10 and nine kills. 

Matlock also was dominant at the net, recording seven blocks. She has been playing well for the Cyclones as of late. Matlock recorded a career-high eight block assists in the 3-0 sweep of Baylor. Straube also has recorded at least five kills in four of the last six matches.

The Cyclones (16-3, 7-1) ended the match with a .206 hitting percentage. 

Tori Mellinger lead the way for the Aggies with 14 kills and Alisia Katsmo chipped in 11. Texas A&M was held to a .165 hitting percentage. 

Iowa State now shares the lead in the Big 12 with Texas. The Cyclones have won four straight matches.
