Local artists group to host May gathering

The Creative Artists’ Studios of Ames (CASA) will be hosting the Ames Community Arts Council’s Monthly Gathering of Artists from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at its studio.

Since 2001, CASA has been creating a communal space for artists at all levels to grow in their creative abilities. Providing shared and private workspaces, CASA has been a resource to local artists for years.

Artists, aficionados, and community members alike are invited to attend the gathering. There will be a kiln-opening at 6:30 p.m. revealing the results of numerous pieces post-firing.

Monthly Gathering of Artists are held on the third Tuesday of each month to showcase local artists and their work.

June 18: Kyle Renell, 205 5th St., Unit 20  

July 16: Bob & Deb Anders-Bond, 1314 Big Bluestem Ct., Unit A-2

The Monthly Gathering of Artists is presented by the Ames Community Arts Council with the support of the City of Ames Commission on the Arts.
