A crunchy treat for the holidays

The holidays are knocking at our doors. Many people are only focused on the big dinner production. Ham, potatoes and pies all come to mind. You know a holiday dinner is sure to leave all your guests feeling jolly and full, but how about making a treat to satisfy their pre-feast cravings.

With dinner usually being later in the day, many of your guests might skimp on lunch in hopes of saving their appetite for later. What happens when your guests begin to complain of hunger? With dinner still a few hours off, Holiday Crunch is the solution to all those hunger pains. The recipe is easy, and with just a few ingredients, your guests will keep in good spirits while waiting for that delectable holiday dinner.

Ingredients:

·      1 package white chocolate chips

·      1 heaping cup pretzels (broken into bite-size pieces)

·      1 heaping cup Cheerios

·      1 heaping cup Golden Grahams cereal

·      1 cup peanuts, pecans or a combination of both

Directions:

Melt the white chocolate chips in a large bowl. Quickly pour in ingredients so the chocolate doesn’t begin to harden. Stir until all the ingredients are covered. Spread on a sheet of wax paper and place in the freezer or refrigerator. Once hardened, break apart into bite-size pieces and place into your holiday tin of choice and serve.
