Calling all students with a passion for videography.

Iowa State University and University of Iowa students have an opportunity to put their creativity skills to use in a video contest.

The “Be True to Your Fuel” video contest calls for students to create family-appropriate videos that showcase their passion for Iowa-grown corn ethanol, E85 or flex-fuel vehicles.

Claire Masker, communications manager for the Iowa Corn Promotion Board and Iowa Corn Growers Association, said the goal of the contest is to give students at the two universities a chance to show their school spirit and the benefits of corn ethanol.

“Students should become involved in this contest because it allows them to show their school spirit in a creative way while also allowing them to win cash prizes,” Masker said.

Prizes will be awarded to the top four videos. The winning video will be shown during the Iowa State vs. Iowa men’s basketball game.

All video submissions must be submitted by Nov. 5.

The contest is being sponsored by the ICGA and ICPB.
