Battle of the Bands introduces Seabird

Battle of the Bands is at 4 p.m. Oct. 28 on Central Campus. Hickory Park will provide food on Central Campus from 5 to 7 p.m. to the first 500 ISU students for only $2.

Any band with at least one member being an ISU student could enter Battle of the Bands. After the bands go head to head, the winner will be judged on their performance and the audience’s response.

Battle of the Bands will end with a performance by Seabird, the headlining band for Homecoming 2010. Seabird is a Christian alternative rock band formed in Ohio in 2004 by brothers Aaron and Ryan Morgan. The band has been very successful, and its songs have been featured in “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Pushing Daisies” and “Numb3ers.”

Songs are available for purchase on iTunes, and the newest album, “Rocks Into Rivers,” will be available Dec. 15.
