Cyclones fall to No. 9 Hawkeyes, 35-7

Iowa State lost to in-state rival Iowa 35-7 Saturday afternoon.

The No. 9 Hawkeyes (2-0) were led by running backs Adam Robinson and Jewel Hampton, who combined for 231 yards on 32 carries.

The Cyclones’ (1-1) offense struggled to build any momentum throughout the game and didn’t find the endzone until the 1:46 mark of the fourth quarter. The Cyclones had not scored a touchdown against Iowa for 17 straight quarters, dating back to the second quarter of the schools’ match-up in 2002.

More information will be made available online, as it becomes available, after the game.
