Defensive back Sims pleads guilty to charge, receives probation

ISU senior defensive back David Sims plead guilty to unauthorized use of a credit card Monday.

Sims received 18 months probation and deferred judgment, which means if he has good behavior for that time period, the arrest will be erased from his record.

He was suspended from the football team when he was charged.

Sims, a junior college transfer in 2009, was last season’s Big 12 Defensive Newcomer of the Year.
