Veishea takes over campus

Thousands gathered all across the ISU campus Friday night and Saturday for the annual Veishea celebration.

Events took place earler in the week as well, including Battle of the Bands preliminary rounds, Veishea Says I’m Funny, Cyclone Idol, and lectures from Jeff Katz and Peter Hedges.

On Friday evening, Dr. Drew Pinsky, of Celebrity Rehab and LoveLine fame, spoke to students, entertainer Stevie Starr performed, and Motion City Soundtrack with fun. headlined the Battle of the Bands final round in the Molecular Biology parking lot. ISU students also performed “Guys and Dolls” as part of the Stars of Veishea portion of the entertinament schedule.

Saturday kicked off with the annual Veishea parade on Union Drive, Taste of Veishea, student organization booths in Veishea Village, as well as other events leading up to Live @ Veishea on Saturday evening with headlining band hellogoodbye.
