“It is important to have sexual assault awareness to educate people of the community, to prevent [sexual assaults] from continuing, and to provide support to victims and to their families who have been survivors of it. I choose to participate in wearing denim on denim day to show support for survivors. Sexual assault is never the victims fault. Therefore, it is important to respect survivors privacy and show support to those who have experienced such trauma.”
