With the goal of picking up their first Big 12 win still in mind, the Cyclone tennis team got a boost of confidence this weekend with a pair of wins.

On the road for the fourth time this season, Iowa State defeated Illinois-Chicago 4-3 on Saturday and earned a 6-1 victory against UMKC on Sunday, pushing the Cyclones’ season record to 7-3. Liza Wischer was a standout in this weekend’s meets, remaining undefeated. She is now 10-0 in singles this season.

The Cyclones will try to add to their non-conference record by trying to pick up their first Big 12 win this Friday against Kansas State.
