Alison Lacey led Iowa State with 18 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double as the Cyclones defeated Prairie View A&M 75-59 in their opening game of the Waikiki Beach Marriott Classic on Friday in Hawaii.

Iowa State (4-0) took a 40-23 lead into halftime over Prairie View (0-0) and never let the Lady Panthers within 11 points in the second half.

Prairie View did provide a challenge, however, as it shot 63.6 percent from the field. Iowa State hit nine 3-pointers and outrebounded the Lady Panthers 39-26.

The Cyclones saw playing time from 12 players. In addition to Lacey’s double-double, Kelsey Bolte had 12 points, Jocelyn Anderson 10, and Nicky Wieben and Amanda Nisleit had nine each.

No. 25 Iowa State will continue play in Hawaii with a showdown against No. 5 Stanford at 7:20 p.m. on Saturday.
