Saturday marked another five-set match, and another five-set loss for the ISU volleyball team, as the Cyclones dropped their fourth in as many tries this season in a 3-2 (22-25, 26-24, 21-25, 26-28, 15-12) loss against Colorado.

Iowa State (12-8, 4-5 Big 12) is now 0-4 in five-set matches this season, all of them coming on the road, and three in Big 12 play. Their struggles were evident in the fifth and final set, as the Cyclones put down seven kills but recorded nine hitting errors en route to hitting -.071 in the set.

The Cyclones outhit the Buffaloes (10-8, 4-5) .247 to .238 in the match, but the biggest advantage went to Colorado, which out blocked the Cyclones 17-10.

Redshirt sophomore Victoria Henson had her sixth consecutive match with double-digit kills, as her 30 kills led all players in the match. Rachel Hockaday and Jen Malcom followed Henson by adding 20 and 13 kills, respectively.

Just one match after having her 44-match streak of 10-plus digs snapped against Texas Tech, sophomore libero Ashley Mass got right back on track by tying a season-high with 32 digs on the match.

The Cyclones will return home on Wednesday for a crucial Big 12 showdown with No. 15 Kansas State at Hilton Coliseum.
