DES MOINES (AP) — Republican presidential nominee John McCain is planning a visit to Des Moines on Tuesday for a round-table discussion with small business people.

McCain plans to meet with a few small business people during a meeting at EFCO, a company that makes concrete forms.

The round-table discussion is scheduled to last an hour, beginning at 10 a.m.

McCain’s wife, Cindy, is expected to join her husband during the visit.

Although McCain will meet with only a few business people, his campaign says about 200 local employees will be in the audience.

McCain spokeswoman Wendy Riemann says the Arizona senator views Iowa as a key battleground state and that he committed to winning in Iowa.
