Four teens charged with making explosive devices

SPENCER – Four Spencer teenagers have been arrested and charged with making bombs.

Fourteen-year-old Katy Zalaznik, 15-year-old Shawn Johnson, 14-year-old Christopher Bell and 14-year-old Storm Rzaszutak have all been charged with second-degree arson.

Police say that the teens are accused of making explosive devices using chemicals and plastic bottles near a school.

They allegedly made three bombs last week. Police say one exploded, one failed to detonate and the other was detonated by authorities.

No damage was reported.
