Pattern is Movement, established in 2001, is an American indie-rock band from Philadelphia.

The band’s name stems from the way its music reflects: “repeating patterns that show their influence from minimalism,” according to Wikipedia.

The duo, which was formerly a trio, will bring their unique sounds to the M-shop on Thursday.

According to SPIN, this duo “melds traces of ’70s with glitchy chamber pop, replete with warm keyboards and billowing walls of well-orchestrated sound.”

With three albums under their belt, the band is set to release its fourth album, All Together, on May 6.
