Huckabee takes West Virginia

Daily Staff

Mike Huckabee has won the Republican caucuses in West Virginia with 53 percent of the vote over Mitt Romney at 47 percent and John McCain at one percent.

The process was in the form of a GOP convention where 1200 delegates from across the state negotiated and bargained for their candidates. Huckabee narrowly won over Romney after delegates for McCain switched over to shift the vote in favor of Huckabee.

This win gives Huckabee 18 delegates for the national convention.
