Man Charged in crash

SIOUX CITY – A Sioux City man has been charged with vehicular homicide after his passenger died in a traffic accident last summer.

Joseph Dailey, 46, was charged this week and faces 50 years in prison if convicted.

Dailey is accused of driving drunk when his pickup truck crashed into the back of another pickup waiting at a red light on Aug. 11. Dailey’s passenger, 43-year-old Danny Peterson, died.

Dailey had a blood-alcohol concentration of .212 percent.

Dailey was charged at the time with misdemeanor charges of driving while license suspended and failure to stop an assured clear distance.
