Pre-Mayoral career

n After graduating, Giuliani was a clerk for the U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of New York. In 1970, he began working for the office of the U.S. Attorney and then became the Chief of the Narcotics Unit and executive U.S. Attorney. In 1975 he was named the Associate Deputy Attorney General and chief of staff to the Deputy Attorney General. From 1977 to 1981 he practiced law in New York.

Mayoral career

n Giuliani was elected in 1993 as the mayor of New York and then re-elected by a wide margin when he carried four of New York City’s five boroughs in 1997.

Declared candidacy

n Giuliani announced his candidacy on Feb. 5.

Family Life

n Giuliani is currently married to his third wife, Judith Nathan. He has two children, Andrew and Caroline, from his second marriage, to Donna Hanover. He has a step-daughter, Whitney Giuliani, from his current marriage.
