COUNCIL BLUFFS &#8212 A woman who police said hid four children, including two of her own, from their guardians has been arrested.

Jennifer Johnson, 46, of Council Bluffs, is accused of taking her two children and two other children without notifying the guardians or asking permission, police said.

The guardians, Brian Travis and Linda Fink, reported the children missing to the Council Bluffs police department last week.

Police records show that Johnson took the children to Oklahoma to hide them.

Oklahoma City police found the children and took them into protective custody. They were later returned to their guardians in Iowa.

Johnson was arrested and taken to jail in Pottawattamie County.

She was charged with two counts of violating a custodial order and two counts of harboring a runaway.
