After Jaclyn Johnson of Kansas hit a free-throw that brought the Jayhawks within six points of Iowa State early in the second half at 29-23, it was senior ISU guard Haugen who hit three successive three-pointers to give the Cyclones the momentum back.”She was the difference in the game,” ISU head coach Bill Fennelly said.Haugen finished the game with 13 points on 4-10 shooting in 35 minutes. She directed the Cyclone offense for most of the night against a tight belly-to-belly Kansas defense.Aside from her leadership, Haugen said that it felt good to have a shooting performance like last night.”My role, to me, is to play defense and shoot the open shot,” she said.
