The ISU College of Veterinary Medicine is sponsoring the university’s first student marrow donor registration drive Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Biomedical Sciences Building.

Healthy volunteers ages 18-60 are encouraged to register their marrow type with the National Marrow Donor Program. Registration requires application forms and a small blood sample, and volunteers may be called on to donate marrow or stem cells to a person in need of a transplant.

The drive will be in Conference Room 2010. For more information or to receive application forms, call the Iowa Marrow Donor Program at (800) 944-8220.
