Cyclone Hockey looked to even the series against Robert Morris University on Saturday night after a 4-3 loss in overtime on Friday night.

The Cyclones did just that, shutting the Eagles out 1-0.

The first period ended scoreless, however the Cyclones did kill off two penalties, as did the Eagles.

The Cyclones struck first with 5:38 left in the second period courtesy of senior forward Colton Kramer. Kramer also scored the first goal of Friday night’s game.

The Cyclones had countless chances in the third period but the game ended with a score of 1-0. Senior goaltender Matt Goedeke stayed strong for the Cyclones, stopping all 28 shots that he faced.

Cyclone Hockey will return to Ames/ISU Ice Arena Jan. 25-26 to face the University of Illinois.
