For the first time this season, both the men’s and women’s basketball teams at Iowa State are getting recognition from AP voters.

In Monday’s new polls, Steve Prohm’s players found themselves at No. 20 following a 77-60 win over now-No. 7 Kansas on Saturday. It is the first time all year the Cyclones have been ranked.

Bill Fennelly’s group is off to a 2-0 start in conference play, and as a result, the Cyclones moved up from No. 25 in the poll to No. 20. This will be the fourth week of the season for Iowa State in the Top 25.

Iowa State is the only team this week to have both of its basketball teams ranked in the AP Top 25.
