Iowa State golf is tied for 10th place after day one of the Arizona Intercollegiate.

Iowa State shot 1 under par for the day with a 283 team score.

The Cyclones were led by solid performances from junior Tripp Kinney, who shot 2 under for the first round and is currently tied for ninth after day one.

Sophomore Frank Lindwall had a day to remember, hitting 4 under for the first round, which put himself in a position to be tied for fourth overall in the tournament.

Lachlan Barker and Sam Vincent both struggled. Each ended their days over par.

Barker shot 5 over and Vincent was 3 over for the first round.

The second and third rounds begin tomorrow for the Cyclones.
