G.E.N.R.E. Club

Iowa State’s ultimate music club G.E.N.R.E., Gathering Everyone Nearby to Raucously Entertain, provides musicians on campus with a community to interact with and help their members become a part of the music scene in Ames.

There are no formal auditions for G.E.N.R.E., meaning anyone from any skill level or musical background may participate. Club meetings are casual and may include trivia, workshops, jams and club outings.

Members of G.E.N.R.E. arrive at the first meeting of the year to meet like-minded musicians and potentially form a band with other members of the club. G.E.N.R.E. provides their members with practice space, musical equipment and venues to perform at. G.E.N.R.E. has put on shows all around Ames, from the Memorial Union terrace or even from a club member’s basement.
