Letter from the AD: Cyclone Nation

Iowa State Director of Athletics Jamie Pollard.

Iowa State Director of Athletics Jamie Pollard.

Dear fellow Cyclones,

On behalf of our staff, coaches and your peers who participate in intercollegiate athletics for the Cyclones, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Iowa State University. We are excited to have you join Cyclone Nation and hope that Iowa State Athletics will be an integral part of your college experience.

After an unprecedented year due to COVID-19, we are thrilled to have fans returning to our venues this year in a more normalized fashion. Our department continues to make adjustments to our game-day protocols, whether it’s due to the ongoing pandemic or finding ways to best navigate our renovated north entrances at Jack Trice Stadium.

The student support for our athletics programs is the foundation for the success we achieve on the field and the court. Students bring an energy that sets the pace for the entire game-day atmosphere. Our coaches love to brag about the loyalty and passion of our student fan base. It is our sincere hope that you buy tickets, attend games, cheer loudly and wear your cardinal and gold proudly.

To encourage your involvement, we are offering an “All Sports Package,” which provides tickets to football and men’s basketball games, as well as a Cyclone Alley/Future Alumni Network membership. This package – as long as supplies last (820 are held for the incoming student lottery) – is your only way to get a season ticket for men’s basketball this year. The package is available for $299.

If you are interested in football-only tickets, a season ticket is $175 (740 of those are for incoming students).

All Iowa State students receive free tickets to all home women’s basketball, volleyball, soccer, softball, wrestling and gymnastics events. Tickets will be accessible via the Student’s Account Manager in the fall.

We look forward to seeing you on Sept. 4th at 2:30 p.m. when Coach Matt Campbell and our Cyclone football team open the season at Jack Trice Stadium against Northern Iowa.

Jamie Pollard,

Director of Athletics, Iowa State University
