Former Iowa State men’s basketball standout, and leader of a team that went to the Sweet Sixteen, Izaiah Brockington is headed to the NBA to join the New Orleans Pelicans per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Factors such as being age 23 and suffering an ACL injury pre-draft, caused Brockington to go undrafted. Now, the Pelicans will take a chance on him, giving him a two-way contract, meaning he could be a part of the NBA team and/or its G League affiliate.

Brockington averaged 16.9 points and 6.8 rebounds in his lone season at Iowa State after transferring from Penn State.
