The “Take Back Congress with Ben and Jerry, and MoveOn,” event was the national announcement of the seven new ice cream flavors named after liberal candidates. Iowa congressional candidate, J.D. Scholten was one of seven winners, with his flavor being, “Joltin’ Scholten’s Grand Slam Home Run!” His flavor includes caramel corn and chocolate covered bacon in a strong coffee base, because he will “jolt congress when he gets elected,” according to Ben Cohen, co-founder of Ben & Jerry’s. The event was held on Oct. 7 in the gallery of the Memorial Union.
