Rummage RAMPage is an annual event hosted during student move-out to eliminate the amount of furniture waste that goes to landfills.

The seventh annual Ames Rummage RAMPage will begin accepting items Friday with the event lasting through Aug. 5 at the Intermodal Facilities.

According to the event’s website, it encourages the “reuse of items instead of sending them to the landfill” during a time when many leases in Ames end. The City of Ames, in partnership with the Iowa State University Office of Sustainability, hosts Rummage RAMPage through the Ames Resource Recovery Plant.

From noon to 6 p.m. Friday, there will only be item drop-off and from 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 5, there is half price sales and no item drop-off. The schedule of days where both item drop-off and sales take place is as follows: from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and noon to 6 p.m. on Monday through Aug. 4.
