Iowa State releases women’s basketball Big 12 schedule

On Tuesday, Iowa State released its Big 12 conference schedule for the 2018-19 season.

On August 27, Iowa State released its non-conference slate of games.

Iowa State opens up Big 12 play at home versus Kansas State on Jan. 2.

The last regular season game of the year is a home game versus Kansas on March 4 before the Big 12 Tournament begins on March 8.

Last season, Iowa State went 7-11 in conference play and made it to the second round of the Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship.

In the first round, Iowa State was able to beat Texas Tech 74-49 before falling to then-No. 7 Texas 81-69.

In the 2017-18 season, Bridget Carleton, now a senior, was the only member of the Iowa State team named to an All-Big 12 team. She checked in as a First Team All-Big 12 guard.

In his time at Iowa State, coach Bill Fennelly has accumulated a 213-167 record in the Big 12 and has captured one regular season Big 12 title and two Big 12 Championship titles.
