Yet another watch list for an Iowa State player.

Iowa State’s senior wide receiver Hakeem Butler was named to the Earl Campbell Texas Rose Award watch list on Tuesday, just hours after Kyle Kempt  was named to the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award watch list.

Butler is the Cyclones’ leading returning wide receiver after catching 41 passes for 697 yards and seven touchdowns in 2017.

The Campbell award is presented each year to the most outstanding offensive player who was either born in Texas, graduated from a high school in Texas or played at a Texas-based junior college or four-year university.

“Butler is a native of Baltimore, Md., but graduated from Travis High School in Fort Bend, Texas,” according to the school’s press release.

Butler’s addition to the list means that 10 Cyclones have been named to preseason watch lists since July.
