No. 15 Iowa State (1-3, 0-0 Big 12) took third place at its first multi-team meet of the season, hosted by Iowa. The meet featured multiple nationally ranked teams, including the No. 22 University of Illinois, Illinois State and No. 10 University of Iowa.

Top gymnasts for Iowa State were redshirt junior Kaia Bochow on uneven bars and sophomore all-around player Frederique Sgarbossa, tied with 9.85 on bars, a new career high for Bochow. Junior all-around player Noelle Adams was a powerful player for the Cyclones, scoring 9.825 on the floor.

Junior all-around player Ella Schell was Iowa State’s leader on vault, scoring 9.7, while Sgarbossa earned 9.65. Sophomore Aubree Guinee and junior all-around player Paige Wills both totaled scores of 9.625.

Iowa posted a season-high 49.275 on bars, the team’s highest event score of the meet. The Hawkeyes were led by impressive 9.900s from sophomore all-around player Aurélie Tran and freshman all-around player Daisy Bowles.
Two Hawkeyes earned individual event titles: Tran on vault (9.850) and sophomore all-around Sydney Turner on floor with a career-best 9.925. Tran also placed second on floor (9.875), beam (9.825) and in the all-around (39.450).
For fourth-place team Illinois State, sophomore all-around player Sammie Wolff posted the highest individual finish of the day on vault, as she tied for second overall with a score of 9.825.
While Illinois fell short of the team title, sophomore all-around player Chloe Cho was an individual superstar, taking the titles of the uneven bars (9.950), the balance beam (9.900) and the all-around (39.525). All 24 routine scores for the day totaled a team score of 194.950.
