Iowa State head coach Matt Campbell broke the news himself on Tuesday: Iowa State’s new football uniforms are out.

The new uniforms had been talked about for some time, as Campbell said multiple times that he was working with Nike as far back as July 2017.

The uniform change is a part of Campbell and his staff’s rebranding of the program, a process that’s been in the works since Campbell’s arrival in late 2015.

Prior uniform adjustments included the grey jerseys that debuted in September 2016, as well as the divisive alternate logo that debuted against Texas last season (and hasn’t been seen since).

The Cyclones now have a multitude of uniform combinations for the upcoming season, which begins Sept. 1 with a home game against South Dakota State.
