Dearest readers,
This week may hold lots of plans for us as the Valentine’s holidays approach, and while friends and lovers may have many things to say, the stars always have more. This week holds quite the loaded glance, as we expected of February. Remember that as you’re reading this, you’re reading the stars and planets as they make astrological history.
Valentine’s Day news
The Daily Horoscope will have a Valentine’s Day special. Expect things to change up a bit for the 14th, which will include Valentine’s specific horoscopes for all 12 signs.
Preparing for the coming Pisces season
If you deem yourself a hard-set astrological denier, yet find yourself reading the Week at a Glance column today, consider that it’s likely because Pisces season is right around the corner. Even the least astrological of thinkers may find themselves taking the daily horoscope particularly to heart.
The coming season will open us up to an onslaught of hope and belief; however, it’s important that we ground ourselves firmly in our existing values and boundaries. While this season doesn’t necessarily bring bad news, this newfound airiness in the signs may cause you to accidentally bump sharp corners.
To prepare for the Pisces season, consider implementing meditation in your daily or weekly routine, participating in mindful yoga, drinking plenty of water, being mindful of waste disposal, igniting your creativity, not overthinking what others have to say and staying away from people who disturb your peace.
Venus in Pisces
In perfect accord with Valentine’s Day, the holiday of love, as well as the month of February, Venus will come into alignment with Pisces from Feb. 10 to Mar. 6. If you’re not entirely sure what that means, put simply, all that has to do with love in your life will have been struck with an arrow of artfulness and poetry.
Venus, being the planet of love, is coming into alignment with the dreamiest, most passionate of signs, Pisces, a mere four days before Valentine’s. However, this situation may cause the zodiac to be more easily manipulated; thus, we must protect ourselves by practicing daily grounding rituals. Whether that be sitting under the warmth of the shower for a few extra minutes, or meditating, take the time out of your day to protect yourself from this mystifying aura.
Though it’s important we don’t remain in a paranoid mood. Venus is exalted when in Pisces, meaning its power is most amplified in this state. While it’s important to remain safely alert, this alignment allows us to welcome all sorts of new magic into our lives. It is of utmost importance that we welcome all the good magic.
Saturn in Aries for the next two years
Saturn will be positioned in Aries on Feb. 13 for the first time in many years. The last time Aries ventured that direction was in 1999, and now it’s back and ready for another ride around the rings. You can expect this alignment to remain in place for the next two years, through April 12, 2028.
A rarity to note is that both Saturn and Neptune are in Aries, and while it’s known Neptune will last much longer (until 2039), this is still a huge deal. The last time this happened was in the year of our lord 1701; quite hard to believe, isn’t it?
These two years foretell many oddities and contradictory psychological concerns. We are taken out of deep reflection and thrown into the race of action and initiative. We are at odds with boundaries; whether to build another wall or tear them all down. To work towards our passions or to leave them in the dust for brighter, but more fleeting opportunities.
It is up to you to make of this time what you will. The stars may foretell what is to come and advise us, but the answers will never cease to come from within.
The moon
Throughout this week, the moon will travel from Scorpio through Sagittarius and end in Capricorn. This sequence will bring forth deep feelings, dissatisfaction, purification, a great search, new meanings, optimism, hopefulness and ultimately trust in yourself and your values.
Retrogrades
- Jupiter retrograde (Cancer): Nov. 11, 2025 – Mar. 11, 2026
