Dearest readers,
February took the zodiac on a particularly intense ride, and while March is known for a calm nature, this roller coaster still has a few loops to go. Following the commencement of the Year of the Fire Horse last month, March greets us with a similar kind of surprise.
Mars-Uranus square
Mars and Uranus have been in square since Friday and will remain so until tonight, Sunday. To explain, a “square” means that two planets are perfectly 90 degrees from each other. A chaotic push and pull is incited when planets are square, literally and figuratively. One or both planets have to give way to break the square and return to normal, but this takes a great effort. This particular Mars-Uranus square seems especially aggressive, making the signs short-fused today.
Mars in Pisces (Mar. 2 – Apr. 9)
Mars is in Pisces from Monday to April 9. While the Pisces placement drives the zodiac into a creative and visionary frenzy, Mars forbids us from focusing on the vision for too long, as it demands immediate action.
During this season, don’t marry yourself to ideas for too long. If you don’t like a book, read another; if a plan doesn’t align with you anymore, tweak it; it’s as simple as that. There are a lot of ideas in the air, so it’s also essential to get things down on paper before they escape you and act on these ideas quickly to maintain that momentum of motivation.
Despite this generally positive alignment, the Mercury retrograde in Pisces is not forgotten. Take a mindful look at your past during this time, whether through professional help or solo introspection. Something bad from the past may be blocking you from something extraordinary in your future.
Full moon eclipse in Virgo (Mar. 3)
We will be experiencing a full moon eclipse in Virgo this coming Tuesday, marking the end of this short eclipse season. The full blood moon eclipse in Virgo demands logical thinking and astute precision. While January and February may have felt like the “free trial” to the new year, March demands a different attitude and the full moon signals this clearly.
Furthermore, this lunation invites us into the embrace of the earth, inspiring the signs to get out into nature and stay grounded. While it’s essential to stay organized and start a test run of your spring cleaning, you must also make it a priority to take calm, disconnected breaks. During this full moon, you will feel best when your phone is far away and on do-not-disturb.
As usual, I’ve gathered a handful of suggestions on things to do on this day. Consider organizing your planner or picking one up to start. Declutter your mind with grounding activities like meditation or walks, stop slacking on those appointments you haven’t made yet and welcome all change with open arms.
P.S.: It’s called a blood moon due to the red-tinted shadow that Earth casts on it.
