Dunkin’s Avocado Toast is one of my favorite breakfast items on their menu. However, the frequent coffee runs can add up quickly.
This budget-friendly copycat combines only a handful of ingredients for a quick and convenient breakfast, delivering the same (if not better) flavors at home. Plus, your wallet will probably thank you.
Dunkin’ Dupe Avocado Toast
Prep time: 5 min. | Cook time: 5 min. | Total time: 10 min.
Ingredients:
4 slices of sourdough bread
1 avocado
1 lemon
2 pieces of thick-cut hickory smoked bacon
1 teaspoon everything bagel seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, mash an avocado with a fork.
- Juice a lemon into the avocado.
- Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix.
- Fry the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy on both sides.
Tip: When finished frying, transfer the bacon onto paper towels to soak up some of the excess grease.
- Toast four slices of sourdough bread until golden brown.
- Spread avocado mixture onto each slice of bread.
- Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning onto bread slices.
- Crumble the bacon atop the bread.
- Voilà! Enjoy!
Now, I personally did not have sourdough on hand and used sandwich bread instead, but it came out just as good.
As someone who loves breakfast foods but doesn’t love breaking the bank, this savory meal checked all the boxes. It is so simple, filled with fresh flavors and takes minimal effort — about 10 minutes from start to finish.
The crispy bacon adds a nice smoky crunch that complements the creamy avocado, while the everything bagel seasoning brings it all together. The lemon juice adds a zesty note of citrus that truly enhances the entire palate.
Whether you’re looking to save a few dollars, avoid a drive-thru trip or just use up an avocado getting too ripe on your kitchen counter, this copycat recipe is certainly worth adding to your breakfast rotation.
