The Feb. 22 Ames Crop Hunger Walk check presentations scheduled at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ames for 5:30pm has been cancelled due to weather, according to an email sent by the program’s coordinator Rod Fischer.  

The check presentations will be rescheduled soon.

Over $9,000 was raised by the Crop Hunger Walk and will benefit local organizations. The Iowa State S.H.O.P. Food Pantry is one of seven agencies receiving money raised through the Crop Hunger Walk in October.

Other recipients include: Food at First, Bethesda Community Food Pantry, Good Neighbors Emergency Assistance, Loaves and Fishes Inc., MICA and the Calvary Food Shelf.
